ABOUT DYNAMITE MONTESSORI
ACADEMY

Dynamite Montessori is a three-tiered Arizona private school serving Cave Creek, Carefree, North Phoenix and North Scottsdale. Our preschool program includes our Toddler House (ages 18 months – 3 years) and Children’s House (primary children ages 3 – 6). Our Elementary Sports Academy school serves students 6 through age 12.

We are a recognized AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) School and have been since 2000. AMI was established in 1929 by Dr. Maria Montessori to maintain, propagate and further her ideas and principals for the full development of the human being. AMI, with headquarters in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, is the oldest recognized authority on Montessori education worldwide. It is the traditional Montessori program.

All of our programs provide for bilingual education. Our approach to 2nd Language learning is holistic one. This approach takes advantage of the young child’s absorbent mind and the sensitive period for grammar. Children learn Spanish in its entirety (i.e. Syntax, accent, vocabulary) all from our native Spanish speakers in each class. Older children receive formal writing and reading lessons. Every summer we offer a Spanish Immersion program.

In addition to our AMI Montessori Program, we also educate the body to move gracefully, skillfully and confidentially. Sport and extracurricular activities are offered as an option to our primary program. Sports (tennis, golf, etc.) are an integral Element of our Elementary Sports Academy and offered as part of the regular weekly curriculum.

THE MISSON

Dynamite Montessori is a joyful place where children’s spontaneity is expressed, where community is fostered, and respect is practiced. It is a safe place where the wonders of nature are discovered, and people experience kindness as the powerful force it is. Ours is a place where bilingual education is pursued, strong bodies are nurtured, lifelong friendships are formed, and the love of learning never wanes.

THE MONTESSORI PHILOSOPHY

Child Growing And Exploring Various Desert Plants

Montessori philosophy is based on the extensive work, research, and insight of the late Dr. Maria Montessori. Dr. Montessori understood the great potential inherent in each and every child. By observing children, Dr. Montessori was inspired to carefully design materials, train teachers, and create a format for a “prepared” environment.

The education materials that are present in the Montessori classroom have one main purpose - to stimulate curiosity and invite children to learn through the process of discovery. Walking into a Montessori classroom is immediately recognizable. While you will see them working in groups, most of the work is individual which creates a non-competitive environment. Through this environment, children of different ages and with different abilities can learn side by side without presenting a problem.

The teachers that teach in these classrooms create an environment that has a large degree of freedom, within reason, which allows for the children to be successful. School activities are guided with a respect for one's self, respect for others, and a respect of the education materials provided.
